Tensor One installation guide

Using an S6 screwdriver, carefully remove the four screws holding on the top panel. Be careful to not lose the plastic washers.

Lift off the top cover.

Place the top cover and screws in a safe place.

Use a 7mm wrench to loosen the nuts holding on the cup warmer panel. Do not remove completely.

Carefully lift up the cup warmer panel, and use a piece of wood to apply light leverage to one side. Carefully remove the panel.

Use an S6 screwdriver to remove the four screws attaching the machine case.

Use a PH2 screwdriver to:

1. Remove the front two screws attaching the cup warmer supports.
2. Loosen the rear screw (labeled "*"). Do not fully remove.

Carefully separate the machine case from the machine using even pressure. Take care not to deform the case.

Remove the machine case.

Using a 17mm wrench, disconnect the hot water pipe fitting.

Press the white sleeve of the steam wand press fitting while pulling back on the line to disconnect the steam connection.

Using a PH2 screwdriver, remove the two screws holding on the brew lever.

After removing the handle, reattach the screws and place the lever component back in the provided Tensor One package.

Using a PH2 screwdriver, remove the four screws holding on the front panel.

Carefully remove the electrical connectors from the fiberglass insulation sleeve.

Disconnect all three connections:

1. Water indicator
2. Power indicator
3. Brew area lights

The front panel can now be lifted away.

Set the front panel aside.

Use an S4 screwdriver to remove two screws holding the brew switch.

Disconnect the black and white wires connecting the brew switch.

Remove the electrical brew switch and place in the provided Tensor One packaging.

Use a 6mm hex wrench to remove the brew lever axle.

Use an 8mm wrench or socket to loosen the two axle support wings.

Remove the brew lever and place in the provided Tensor One packaging.

Reinsert and tighten the brew lever axle.

Realign and tighten the axle support wings.

Use a PH1 screwdriver to remove the middle screws holding on each of the indicator lights.

Set aside the indicators as well as their diffuser and indicator face for later installation.

Firmly pinch together the brew lever back cover and pull directly away from the front panel.

Place the removed cover in the provided Tensor One packaging.

Place the indicator lights in the Tensor One case in the orientation shown in the images.

Add the white diffuser chip on top of the water indicator.

Slightly move the indicator assembly back and forth to ensure they are well seated.

Pinch together the assembly and, using a PH1 screwdriver, attach to the case with the middle screw.

Repeat for the Power indicator.

Feed the wires through the hole in the front of the machine front panel.

Align the Tensor One to the front panel with the alignment channels.

Twist the mounting tabs to the displayed orientation. They should seat into the front panel, enforcing strong final alignment.

Use a 3mm hex wrench to tighten the mounting tabs. There should be no play left between the Tensor One and the machine front panel.

Reconnect the machine's lighting:

1. Water indicator
2. Power indicator
3. Brew area lighting

Connect the white bullet terminal coming out of the Tensor One to the white female bullet terminal on the machine.

Fold back the black female bullet terminal and leave disconnected.

Feed the Tensor One power cable (red / black wire bundle) into the fiberglass cable insulation all the way to the electronics box at the back of the machine.

Connect the power cable to the auxiliary port as shown in the image.

Use a PH2 screwdriver to reattach the front panel to the machine.

Use a 17mm wrench to reattach the hot water plumbing.

Press the steam hose back into its press-fitting.

Plug in and turn on the machine.

The display should light up.

1. If the display is not activated, check that it is wired correctly.
2. If any issues persist, please contact support immediately.

Click the "Start" button. Check that the brew is activated.

Power off the machine to finish installation.

Refit the machine case. Take care to align the case on its alignment pins.

Using an S6 screwdriver, reinstall the case screws, taking care to use the preserved plastic washers.

Use a PH2 screwdriver to reattach the cup warmer panel supports and the electrical compartment to the machine.

Place the cup warmer panel back on the machine, and use a 7mm wrench to tighten support nuts.

Use an S6 screwdriver on the preserved screws and plastic washers to reinstall the top cover.

Congratulations, you have successfully installed the Tensor One; now brew yourself an espresso!
